I was wondering if it would be possible to combine the technology of piezoelectricity to generate electricity from rain and the technology of solar panels to create something that could generate electricity "rain or shine" I know the efficiency of piezoelectricity is not very high, but I was wondering if it would be possible. Also, I was wondering how difficult it would be because my partner and I are trying to build something with piezoelectricity for our high school science project.
Also, we had an idea of producing electricity from sound waves generated perhaps at a loud concert or performance. We do know the conversion would probably be very inefficient but we were wondering if there was any way, again, to make this idea work or more efficient.
I am not asking for a project idea, but merely some guidance to see whether our idea will work or not.Thank you very much for your time.
