Do you think that we will ever get to the point of becoming a type 2 or 3 civilization? Or even a type 1 for that matter. I personally feel that we will progress well into a type 1 where medicine will have completely eliminated most disease, and discovery of extra solar life is part of our world. Perhaps encounters with other species is as common as seeing another human now a days. What do you think?
