Although our technology hasn’t reached the point of being able to effectively mine away from the Earth, has anyone looked into the availability of valuable minerals on the Moon? Mars? Asteroids? I’m curious in valuable minerals only, particularly rare earth metals, gold, etc. not the much more common iron or the non-mineral water ice (which I already know is extremely valuable in space).
