What are the chances that we advance to the point of inter-galactic travel only to discover we are the eldest, most advanced race to exist in the entire universe? I know that there are older galaxies, and even solar systems in our own galaxy, but there is some chance, right? All sci-fi shows depict us as being behind on the times, would a show based on that be interesting? What kind of challenges could a race that advanced possibly face? I think we would have to be like Q from star trek, technology so advanced,it is indistinguishable from magic.
